One event, many trail-running hotspots

Between September 20 and 22, 2019 the very centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen will see one of the most exciting events for trail runners and all those who would like to know more about this great sport. During the 360° TRAIL by adidas TERREX, theory is presented during workshops and talks and then put into practise during side events and running practise at the Zugspitz Arena Bayern-Tirol, making it all an extremely varied happening.

Already on September 19 trail runners, hikers, and runners all gather for accreditation, the official opening, and a get-together at the heart of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The three-day event 360° TRAIL presented by adidas TERREX is the perfect opportunity for participants of all levels of skill to get all the latest info from the scene and actively participate in runs while surrounded by pros.

360° trail running – check out and try out

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the heart of the event – wellknown brands present new materials and technologies right here on Richard-Strauss square where the expo will take place out of doors if the weather is good. If it isn’t, the festival hall next door will host it. The latest product innovations can be tested right here, brand ambassadors and athletes are there to exchange experiences and ideas with both, seasoned runners and beginners alike. And the event is also about sharing know-how – topics like gear, training, safety in the mountains, travel deals, health checks, first aid in the mountains etc. will all be talked about during workshops and talks. Topics like ‘Is sport stress management or stress relief?’, and ‘After the trail is before the trail – better regeneration through optimum nutrition’ will be focused on in particular.

The active running part goes beyond the borders of Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Zugspitz Arena, the village of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Zugspitz village of Grainau, and the seven places that form Tyrol’s Zugspitz Arena (Ehrwald, Lermoos, Berwang, Bichlbach/Lähn-Wengle, Biberwier, Heiterwang, and Nahlos) all become test ground for varied trail running training. Side events ensure plenty of adventure, on the first day, after the dinner at the hut on Gamsalm, the evening is brought to a close with a torch hike down into the valley.

For three whole days the Expo will be the meeting place for the trail running community – not just to get information and to actively practice the sport but also to enjoy that special lifestyle together with like-minded and interested people. During Grill & Chill, the daily evening get-together, all participants have the opportunity to relax and process the day’s impressions during a leisurely gathering.
