Kriegeralpe is an impressive place throughout the year. Built in Tannberg Walser style the rustic hut at 2,000 altitude metres offers the best surroundings for a comfy break à la ski-in and ski-out. Located right by the slopes you can just meet up for lunch or enjoy après ski before following the slope all the way into the valley for an aperitif at Burg Bar. Winter hiking paths also lead past Kriegeralpe. The culinary offer on the mountain hut is impressive: ingredients like cottage cheese, butter, and alpine cheese are used for home-made delicacies – Käsnüdeli (a typical cheesy pasta dish) or Kaiserschmarrn (sweet, fluffy pancakes) or the hut stew; they all delight the hungry guests’ palates and they are produced in the house’s own dairy from its own milk during the summer.
